Highly recommend this cute little hotel. It has been fully renovated with clean, comfortable rooms and an amazing staff. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing, and they were extremely accommodating to our specific trip needs. The room was well equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, deep small refrigerator, ample closet space, and a beautifully decorated bathroom featuring some local Native American–inspired decor along with their theme of the Rocket Inn. Pet-friendly and they even had a pet care kit in the room. Housekeeping available as needed. This will be our 3rd stay and the service as well as cleanliness has been the same each time.
From the outside it looks like a mid-century building, well maintained and quaint. The staff is helpful and available. The rooms are slight is size but generous with amenities. Bed, comfortable. Pillows, good selection. WiFi, blazing. Television, yup. And most important, AC kept the room at 66 degrees when it was 101 outside! Great shower. Lots of plug in power in the room - keep your gadgets charged!
We stayed here after a backpacking trip very dirty and tired and were very pleased to have a clean bathroom. The owner(?) was a very sweet lady and greeted us at the desk. She seemed to genuinely enjoy her job. She showed us a map of the town, suggested places to go, and even walked us to our room and showed us how to use the AC unit. The room was clean with hardwood floors and cute bedding. We had a reserved parking spot, but the hotel is within walking distance of the downtown area.
My childhood included going to Elephant Butte every other summer. I always was attracted to the Rocket Inn simple/sweet location and I was always curious to see it. It was shut down for a long time then remodeled and reopened in recent years. I absolutely wanted a room there while going to Rivebend Hot Springs, which we got for us this Thanksgiving weekend. Love the room, the service, and location. We will stop by again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anybody. The rooms are newly renovated and are pleasantly decorated with "retro" touches. The staff is conscientious, polite, and helpful. The rates are very reasonable. Thank you again to the staff for making our visit of several days most enjoyable.
Quirky and fun from the bedspread to the hairdryer, you can tell that there is a consistent line of design and thought in every detail in this cute motel that is the perfect mix of modern and vintage. It could be a set for a Wes Anderson movie, but so could most of Truth or Consequences. I loved how fresh and clean everything felt in the room and what a fun idea to have a little package of things for the dog - even though I don’t have a dog. The modern mini split assured for a quiet night in an even temperature. No big noisy AC units disturbing my sleep. I highly recommend Rocket Inn to everyone traveling through NM.
This is a really nice vintage motel in T or C. Very clean and people running it are very helpful. Not really anything negative to say except maybe my room had a slight smell of being smoked in at one time. But still a great place to stay and I would stay there again.
